The Diversity Visa (DV) Lottery Programme is administered by the US Department of State. The DV Lottery program grants 55,000 Permanent Resident cards each year to individuals worldwide.
When can I apply for DV (Green Card) Lottery 2026?
Registration for the US Green Card Lottery 2024 is from October 02, 2024, to November 05, 2024, at 12 noon EST.
What are the requirements for DV Lottery 2026?
- Being a citizen of a country with a low immigration rate to the US.
- Having graduated from high school / its equivalent / having qualifying work experience (at least a high school education or its equivalent or have 2 years of work experience within the past 5 years in an occupation).

United States Department of State will select 55,000 winners each year & they will get a Permanent Resident Card.
Which countries are not eligible for DV Lottery Program 2026?
Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, China (including Mainland & Hong Kong born), Colombia, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, India, Mexico, Nigeria, Philippines, Pakistan, South Korea, Venezuela & Vietnam.

- Current Marital Status.
- Number of Children.
Photo Requirements
- Background: Light-colored & plain
- Head Position: Your head must not be tilted up, down, or to the side. Face only the camera.
- Head Size: The face must represent between 50% & 69% of the total height of the photo
- Exposure: The photo must not be overexposed / underexposed. Shadows must not be visible.
- Head Coverings: Are not permitted except for religious reasons.
- Digital Image Alterations: It should be avoided. A modified background can influence the shape of the head.
- The Face: Must not be covered by hair & facial expression should be neutral.
- Photo Color: No black & white photos. High-quality color photos only accepted.
- Glasses: Glasses are not allowed.
- Photo Size: 51 x 51 mm
- File Size: Maximum 240 KB
- File Format: JPEG format
- Resolution: 600 x 600 pixels (300 dpi)
- Note: The photo must not be older than 6 months. It should reflect the current look. Don’t use Photos of previous DV Lotteries.
